WHO ARE WE?
The Bridge City Community Church is a Saskatoon congregation of approximately 60 Christian believers who enjoy learning, growing, and worshipping together.
We have a family atmosphere with ages of members ranging from babies to seniors. Our lives are enriched by both the wisdom of our elders and the laughter of our children.
Our congregation was established in 1966 as part of the Worldwide Church of God Canada. After the death of the founder, Herbert Armstrong in 1986, the denomination began a radical and wholesale re-examination of its doctrines. It was discovered that the majority of our foundational teachings were based on some seriously flawed premises, and a major revision took place.
WHAT DO WE BELIEVE?
We believe in the traditional Christian understanding that humanity was separated from God, because of our Sin, in the Garden of Eden. We believe that Jesus Christ was the Son of God, who willingly came, as a flesh and blood Man, to live a life that fulfilled the requirements of the Old Covenant, who shed his blood on the Cross to become our final and complete sacrifice, and thus qualified to bring a New Covenant. We believe in Jesus' bodily resurrection so that we may have a new eternal life.
God wishes that all people be saved by receiving His free gift of Grace (forgiveness and pardon), and He desires that none perish by their separation from Life (God).

WHAT IS OUR PURPOSE STATEMENT?
Our purpose is to actively respond to the ministry of reconciliation, given to us by Jesus Christ (II Corinthians 5:18). We do this by building bridges in Christ in the following ways:
• We follow our calling to be witnesses of the Lord Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit, in order to build a bridge of hope to the spiritually lost (Acts 1:8).
• We provide worship services to encourage and assist people to grow in their relationship with God through practical biblical teaching relevant to current issues, music, fellowship, and prayer.
• Unity, not conformity, is central to our church family because we are called to, “Accept one another, since Christ has accepted you, for the Glory of God (Romans 15:7).”
• When conflicts occur in our lives, we are committed to our pledge of Biblical Peacemaking as defined by Peacemaker Ministries.®
- Glorify God
- Get the Log out of your own eye
- Go Show your brother his fault
- Go and be reconciled
• We contribute to the strengthening of the body of Christ through our involvement in those activities that build bridges between Christian fellowships in our community.
